For Nigerian fintech.
In fintech, a reputational crisis usually starts as money that didn't arrive. A few customers say a transfer failed or a debit wasn't reversed; a thread starts on Nairaland; someone with a following asks what's going on. Triage Engine is built to catch that stage, while you can still shape the story.
What it watches for
When a fintech company's mentions are grouped into an incident, Triage Engine recognises the kinds that hurt fintech most, and drafts the response with the right people in the loop:
| Incident | What it looks like | Who the draft loops in |
|---|---|---|
| Payments and refunds | Debits without value, refunds or reversals that don't arrive, money stuck. | Client lead, Payments operations, Customer care, Social team |
| Service outage | The app, USSD or card payments down, often on salary day or a public holiday. | Client lead, Engineering lead, Customer care, Social team |
| Fraud or security | Claims of hacked accounts, scams using your name, or a data leak. | Client lead, Legal, Security lead, Customer care, Social team |
| Regulatory | A CBN sanction, an FCCPC complaint or a data protection probe in the news. | Client lead, Legal, Compliance, Executive sponsor |
| Customer complaints | A pile-up of angry posts about fees, support or a policy change. | Client lead, Customer care, Social team |
Where it looks
- Business and tech press that covers fintech closely, including Nairametrics, TechCabal, Techpoint Africa and Business Day, along with the national dailies and Google News.
- Forums and video: Nairaland and Reddit threads, and YouTube, where customers compare notes.
- Regulators that cover fintech: Central Bank of Nigeria, Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Circulars, fines, licence news and probes are checked for every four to six hours and shown on your board.
- Your own words for trouble. Add product names and the terms your customers use, such as "reversal", "debited" or "USSD", and mentions that use them rise to the top.

What reaches you
- A risk score out of 100 against your company's own normal, with its reasons, on a board your team signs in to.
- An email to your alert contacts when the score crosses the line you choose, checked after every scan, and a summary for them every Monday.
- For an incident that needs an answer, a holding statement, who to involve and a playbook, checked by a person at AgendaX before you see it. Nothing is ever published for you.

Why fintech first
Trust is the product. When customers can't see their money, every hour of silence fills with guesses, and regulators read the same threads your customers write. A clear, early, honest holding statement does more than a perfect one three days later.
